We've curated a selection of recommendations for the month, encompassing festivals, fairs, and exhibitions both in the United States and internationally.


Tom Dixon: Metalhead | November 23, 2023 to January 13, 2024


Renowned British designer Tom Dixon is currently hosting a retrospective display at the Themes & Variations gallery in London, highlighting a diverse collection of furniture and lighting. This exhibition encompasses Dixon's entire career, featuring pieces from the 1980s to the contemporary era, such as coat stands, shelving units, and sculptures. The showcase also includes distinctive welded chairs crafted from metal salvaged from scrap yards, along with a unique bull-shaped light installation.


Taiwan Design Week | December 1-10, Taipei


The inaugural Taiwan Design Week unfolds at Taipei's Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, featuring a dynamic program encompassing exhibitions, forums, and an awards ceremony. The primary exhibition, known as the Theme Exhibition, showcases the creative output of 60 designers who engage with the festival's overarching theme of "Elastic Bridging." This theme is designed to explore the intersections of innovation, technology, and sustainability. Concurrently, Open House Taipei collaborates with the design week, offering guided tours of the city's urban spaces on December 3rd and 9th.


Miami Art Week | December 6-10, Miami


The 19th edition of a significant event in the global design fair calendar is set to make a comeback at the Miami Beach Convention Center on December 6th. Miami Art Week, a five-day festival dedicated to celebrating art and design, unfolds through a series of fairs, exhibitions, installations, and accessible showrooms primarily situated in Miami's Design District and Miami Beach areas. This annual art extravaganza attracts curators, buyers, dealers, and collectors, offering them the opportunity to explore the creations of both emerging and established artists and designers.


Some of the largest events include the Alcova Miami, Design Miami, Art Miami and Art Basel fairs.


Everything Architecture | December 7, Dubai


The Dubai World Trade Centre is organizing "Everything Architecture," a conference that brings together architects and designers from around the world. The conference is designed to enhance skillsets, delve into emerging trends, and facilitate networking opportunities with industry experts.


Comprising seven presentations, the conference will be led by 13 professionals, including architects, urban development specialists, and government officials. The discussions will revolve around themes such as biophilic design, artificial intelligence (AI), and net-zero development.
