With the beginning of the new year, various design events scheduled for January bring together design enthusiasts from different parts of the world. Throughout January, we have compiled a few recommendations that are worth exploring.


Top Drawer S/S 2024 | January 14-16, London


The Spring/Summer edition of the Top Drawer design trade show is set to return in 2024, presenting an exhibition featuring over 1,000 products, talks, an awards ceremony, and opportunities for networking.


With a showcase of more than 600 brands and suppliers, the exhibition is organized into nine distinct sectors: Craft, Fashion, Food Emporium, Gift, Greetings and Stationery, Home, Launchpad, Play, and Wellbeing. In addition to the main exhibition, Top Drawer includes the RetailFest stage for insightful talks and the Business Hub, providing a platform for industry professionals to share expertise.

IDS Toronto | January 18-21, Toronto


In January 2024, Interior Design Show Toronto marks its 25th edition, returning to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. This four-day event provides attendees with the opportunity to explore exhibitions, engage in talks, and attend seminars.


With a roster of over 140 exhibitors, including architects, furniture designers, textile brands, finish manufacturers, and artists, IDS Toronto showcases a diverse range of talents each year. The event is scheduled to take place from January 18 to 21, 2024, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, located at 255 Front Street West, Toronto, Ontario M5V 2W6, Canada.


Maison&Objet | January 18-22, Paris


The winter edition of Maison&Objet, the largest event during Paris Design Week, is set to return in January 2024. This showcase will feature a diverse range of offerings including furniture, crafts, accessories, textiles, kitchenware, fashion, and fragrances.


In addition to the exhibition, the five-day trade show will incorporate installations, talks, and an awards ceremony. Maison&Objet 2024 is scheduled to take place from January 18 to 22 at Paris Nord Villepinte, Allée des Érables, Paris, France.


DesignTO Festival | January 19-28, Toronto


DesignTO is back in 2024 with a diverse lineup featuring exhibitions, talks, tours, workshops, and installations. Celebrating its 14th anniversary, the festival explores a range of design disciplines, including industrial, interior, furniture, experience, graphic design, architecture, and craft.


Scheduled from January 19 to 28, 2024, DesignTO 2024 will unfold both online and in-person at multiple venues throughout Toronto, Canada.


Oslo Design Fair | January 21-23, Oslo


The Oslo Design Fair stands as Norway's premier trade fair, serving as a crucial gathering point for the design and interior industries in the country. With a platform encompassing workshops, discussions, and exhibitions, the fair will present nearly 400 exhibitors, highlighting the pinnacle of Norwegian craftsmanship and design.
